Disability-Related Services: Needs and Satisfaction of Postsecondary Students

چکیده

This paper presents results of a surveyconducted to determ ine university (N=4) students' (N=445) need for and satisfaction with disability-related support services. A four-part questionnaire comprised of 11 domains (divided into 40 service areas) was used. The domain-wise reliability of "need" varied between 0.71 and 0.95 and reliability for "satisfaction" ranged from 0.70 to 0.96. A lthough the scope of service delivery varied wide ly among partie ipating institutions, results revealed similarities between perceived need a nd satisfaction across the sc hoo Is. Implications for student recruitment and retention and the delivery of high-quality support services to postsecondary students with disabilities are discussed.
